Kettle

In addition to the brewing method, the degree of grinding and the amount of coffee, the water temperature is particularly important for preparing good coffee. In order to brew your coffee at the right temperature and technique, you need a good kettle. Ideally, your cooker for pour-over preparation should be equipped with a so-called swan-neck spout and a temperature setting. This allows you to choose the optimal water temperature and control the water flow during the brewing process. In our range you will find a large selection of kettles from various well-known brands. Discover now and order your new kitchen appliance straight to your home.

The spout gives you full control over the brewing process, and the temperature control ensures your coffee is particularly aromatic. Kaffeezubereiteung mit Wasserkocher und Chemex

Which model is right for me?

Whether you use a Chemex, Aeropress, or hand filter, all brewing methods require boiling water. A suitable kettle is essential, as it prepares the desired amount of hot water at the touch of a button. However, there are a few things to consider before purchasing.
If you primarily use the appliance alone and for smaller quantities, a kettle with a capacity of 600 ml is perfectly sufficient. For a household with several people or for preparing several cups of coffee, we recommend a kettle with a capacity of 1 liter. In addition to the capacity, you should definitely pay attention to the kettle's functions. Many products now come standard with features such as automatic shut-off, overheat protection, a keep-warm function, and a temperature selection. Models with a temperature selection also have a digital display where you can read information such as the set temperature and target temperature. A final, but not unimportant, consideration when choosing a kettle is, of course, the appearance. In addition to glass kettles, you can find many stainless steel models on the market, which, thanks to their colored coating, offer the perfect color for every kitchen. Questions & Answers

What should you consider when buying a kettle?

When purchasing the right appliance, you should primarily ensure that it is perfectly suited to your needs. If you only use a kettle occasionally and the temperature of the water isn't important, a basic model without many features will suffice. However, if you plan to make coffee and other hot drinks every day, you should definitely choose a model with a temperature control and other practical features, such as a keep-warm function. For filter coffee, we recommend a model with a gooseneck spout. This spout allows you to measure the water precisely and in a controlled manner.
In addition to the features and appearance, you can also choose between different materials when purchasing. We recommend glass or stainless steel instead of a plastic appliance. Models made of glass or stainless steel are sturdy and look particularly high-quality in your kitchen.

What is the best way to clean my kettle?

This kitchen appliance is generally very easy to care for. You can simply wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth. You should also descale your kettle regularly to ensure you enjoy it for a long time and the taste isn't affected. You can do this simply using vinegar or a special kettle descaler.

Why is a model with temperature selection recommended for coffee preparation?

For most brewing methods, the ideal water temperature is between 92-96°C. Whether you brew your coffee using a dripper or a Chemex, you should always use a kettle with a temperature setting. If you use water that's too hot during the brewing process, your coffee may become bitter. If the water is colder, the coffee will be watery or even sour. To avoid this, make sure you choose a kettle for pour-over brewing that has a temperature setting. Kettles with this feature are also equipped with a display where you can read all important information, such as the actual and target temperatures.
