V60 meets immersion

The Hario V60 Switch Immersion Coffee Dripper combines the principle of the classic V60 pour-over filter with an immersion method. Instead of the water flowing directly through the coffee grounds, it is initially retained in the dripper with the Switch.

An integrated stainless steel ball seals the outlet, so that the coffee and water remain in complete contact with each other during the desired brewing time. Then all it takes is the press of a button: The outlet opens and the brewed coffee flows into the cup or server.

This allows you to precisely control the contact time without having to continuously pour water during the entire brewing time. At the same time, the characteristic V60 principle remains an integral part of the dripper. The result is an uncomplicated and highly reproducible preparation with a full-bodied, rounded flavor profile.

Size 02 or 03 – what is the difference?

The Hario V60 Switch is available in two sizes. The stated capacity describes the approximate amount of liquid that the Switch can hold during the immersion phase.

Size 02 – approx. 200 ml: The more compact version is particularly suitable if you want to prepare smaller amounts of coffee. It is the right choice for the classic single serving.

Size 03 – approx. 360 ml: The larger Switch offers significantly more volume and thus more flexibility for larger brewing quantities. It is therefore better suited if you want to prepare more coffee at once.

Important: The stated 200 ml and 360 ml are the capacities of the dripper and not a fixed specification for the final amount of coffee. How much coffee ultimately ends up in the cup depends on your recipe as well as the amount of water and coffee used. An exact number of cups cannot therefore be reliably derived from the available manufacturer specifications.
